Lakewood is a proud supporter of Arts Umbrella’s expansion into Surrey.  Arts Umbrella, Vancouver, a charitable arts education centre for children, ages 2 to 19, has been inspiring kids for life through the arts with innovative programs for more than 30 years.

Committed to making a difference in the communities where it builds, Lakewood is enthusiastic about providing financial and in-kind assistance to launch the Surrey program.  The first site, in South Surrey at The Shops at Morgan Crossing, opened its doors in January 2012, while the second site in Central Surrey is scheduled to open later this year.  Classes have begun in “Early Learning,” “Media Arts,” “Theatre Arts,” and “Visual & Applied Arts” and will provide Surrey kids with skills and ways of thinking that can benefit them for life.

Arts Umbrella programs have a powerful positive impact on children.  They help children to learn to appreciate the arts and develop their own creativity.  Numerous studies indicate that people who receive arts education early in life reap many tangible, long-term, life-changing benefits.

The holiday season has arrived at the Lakewood office! Our tree is decorated, the garland is out and the eggnog is chilling in the fridge.

This is also the time of year when we collect donations for those in our community. This year Lakewood will be joining with the Greater Vancouver Home Builders' Association to participate in the 2011 Coats for Kids Campaign. This event helps families in need in the Surrey area, with the donations being distributed by the Surrey Christmas Bureau.

Stop by the Lakewood office and fill our donation box with new or gently used coats, scarves, gloves, mittens, blankets, toques or toys. We will be collecting up until December 13, 2011.

We are excited to introduce to you the latest project by Lakewood...One92! This new development has something for everyone: condos, carriage homes and townhomes. Located in the Clayton Heights area of Surrey (6685 192^ndStreet), One92 is just down the street from our previous project, Ixia.

Spring is here...and that means lots has been happening at Lakewood.

Last month, the Greater Vancouver Home Builders’ Association hosted their Annual First-time Home Buyer Seminar and Lakewood was glad to be a part of the event. We were even giving out custom Lakewood logo cupcakes created by Starwood Cakes!

Phase 4 was just released at Kallisto. Possession dates are targeted for mid-July and late September with 4 large Constellation plans finally available again! 

Looking more in the Sullivan Heights area? We also just released Phase 2 at Madison. The very first move-ins for Phase 1 are happening this month and we couldn’t be more thrilled!

There have been lots of sales at Edge and now there are only 8 units left! Come visit our sales centre before it’s too late. If you are looking for a fully furnished unit, we are selling the two remaining showhomes with furniture included!

For example, we just held a Timbit and lemonade weekend at Kallisto to celebrate the success of our new HST promotion and it was a huge hit. We also have a new project underway in the Sullivan Heights area so be on the lookout for our new signs.
